Today I wish to share one of the best mindfulness books I’ve come across, and help with mindfulness for beginners. In all honesty personally with all that’s going on in the world at the time of writing this article, with Covid-19 and everyone’s life upside down, I feel it’s divine timing to write about this. What Is The Practice Of Mindful Meditation?
The practice of mindfulness in my own experience, understanding and experience the practice of mindful meditation it is about clearing the mind, but also reducing stress and being ‘mindful’ of our thoughts. This can help greatly with achieving goals as well! Focusing on what’s important in the here and now.
Why Is Being Mindful Of Thoughts Important?
Well, we become what we think! In a nutshell, so if we are stressed, worried, and not conscious of the need to reduce stress we become just that=stress balls! But what are the benefits of mindful meditation? The list is endless friends, as Alfred James the best selling author discusses in his book Mindfulness Exercises he states that, ‘Mindfulness exercises offer us respite from our relentless doing, not just in action, but in mentally evaluating, grasping and desiring to be elsewhere experiencing something other than the present moment.’ Therefore, if we are feeling stressed, worried etc the practice of mindfulness meditation, or even simple exercises can greatly benefit us mentally, physically and emotionally which can help us to experience something other than the present= the stress or whatever is going on.

Mindfulness Journal, Anyone?
Have you ever considered a mindfulness journal or mindfulness journaling? Nope? You don’t know what you’re missing. I have personally done this myself, it became a daily practice where I would write down my thoughts and feelings for the day, reflect on them and notice any patterns that I was having, then reverse it. A mindfulness journal does not have to take up much time or even be very difficult. You can use a nice fancy notebook if you wish ( like I do) or write a blog, on a computer or any old scrap paper and compile your notes together.
The benefits of mindfulness journaling or starting a mindfulness journal are amazing. When we write, we take the time to think about what we wish to say, it forces us to slow down, really be honest with ourselves, stop stressing or moving at a million miles an hour. If you’re like me this fast-pace life is a daily thing. It’s really helps to release the stress and slow down. I’d recommend that you start today, start a mindfulness journal along with reading a mindfulness book such as Alfred James’ Mindfulness Exercises, along with the mindfulness audio you get free with the mindfulness book and, even practice the exercises as part of your daily or weekly mindfulness journal.
